Clinic Director

My role as a Physical Therapist is simple. I guide and provide the tools patients need to get back to their functional lifestyles by educating the patient, engaging the patient in their individualized and progressive program, and preventing further injuries and problems in the future.
I received a Masters in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. As a specialty, I studied neuromuscular imbalances in relation to functional movement patterns. As a tai chi instructor and practitioner, I enjoy integrating similar dynamic movement/balance patterns in my own therapy excercises. I am also a trained classical violinist, and am in a position to address the overuse and postural problems often incurred by musicians.

I believe that it is my job as a Physical Therapist to empower each patient to take charge of his or her own health and wellbeing. Combining manual therapy techniques with specific strengthening and stretching exercises, I work with each patient towards improved function. I believe in providing individuals with the necessary knowledge and tools to elicit positive changes and become a more active participant in their health.
I received a Masters in Physical Therapy from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Along with treating both orthopedic and neurological conditions, I am a certified lymphedema therapist, using complete decongestive therapy to treat both primary and secondary lymphedema. I am also fluent in Spanish.

My Goal as a Physical Therapist is to get you to manage your dysfunction. Using a biomechanical approach to the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular system, I will apply my skills as a manual therapist and teach you exercises to promote long term carry-over of the treatments. I believe patient education and instruction in self-management are the key to regaining your lifestyle.
I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Florida. I am also Manual Therapy Certified, a certification earned by fewer than 1500 Physical Therapists worldwide. My interests lie in orthopedics, especially the spine, but I gladly treat every joint in the body. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy swimming, hiking, cycling, yoga, cooking and international travel.
